LMc THERAPY SERVICES
Counselling can help with a range of issues, for example, anxiety and panic, low mood/depression, low self esteem, relationship problems, health anxieties and chronic health problems, work-related stress, bereavement and loss, to name but a few areas.
By talking about the problems you face, you are able to see your issues more clearly, feel lighter inside, and more able to manage your life.
Even when you are unable to change a particular situation, you are able to choose the way you cope with it.
I originally qualified as a Person-Centred therapist (working in an equal way with the client to explore their problem further in an empathic, congruent and non-judgemental way, in order to build a trusting relationship between client and counsellor, the client bringing to the sessions whatever is relevant to them to work with), however, through further study and experience, today I work more inclusively as an Integrative therapist, bringing in person-centredness, but also utilising other counselling theories and tools in my practice, for example, cognitive behavioural therapy (exploring behavioural change), or mindfulness (being n the moment, bringing more awareness to ourselves), but only where this would be helpful to the client.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy, and fully adhere to their Ethical Framework, ensuring that I offer a professional, respectful service to my clients.
